FAQ
Why is Xpand different?
Recruitment businesses target a variety of customer segments, all with different needs, and match this with an appropriate level of service. We work with premium businesses and offer a premium level of service. For more information please click here.
How much does using a recruiter cost?
This will vary depending on a number of factors including the type of role, seniority, urgency, scarcity and the level of exclusivity around the assignment. For permanent recruitment, we charge our fees based on a percentage of the employees annual salary - this is a one off fee. For contract recruitment, we are responsible for the associated costs of employment such as payroll tax and insurances, therefore these costs are charged in addition to the contractors rate, plus our margin. Why would you use a recruiter?
This depends on what you're trying to achieve, but some common reasons include:
- Access a much broader candidate market. You're paying for access to the network we've built over many years.
- Leverage our experience. We're trained interviewers with lots of practical experience. We're also very tapped into to the market which means we get the insiders view.
- Save time. Do you want to spend hours sifting through CVs and getting back to everyone who applied? That's assuming you have time to organise advertising and write a good ad in the first place. We do this all day long and we have the right systems to manage it properly.
- Save money. What is the cost to your business (direct, indirect and opportunity cost) of recruiting for yourself? Are you likely to lose more staff because this role is unfilled and they're the ones picking up the slack? How much opportunity are you losing the longer someone is not in the role? If you do the maths, usually paying a recruitment fee is the much cheaper option.
- We're impartial. It can be awkward to say no to people at the best of times, using a recruiter helps you keep your distance from the process.
- Anonymity. We can target people or competitors without exposiing your name to the market.
